Nuestra Historia
From the Cibao Valley to Lanza Avenue.
We didn't open a Dominican restaurant. We opened our kitchen, in Garfield, for everyone who misses home.
El Rincón Cibaeño started the way every Dominican kitchen starts — with a grandmother, a pilón, and the smell of garlic hitting hot oil. We brought that exact pilón, and that exact recipe, from the Cibao Valley to 348 Lanza Ave in Garfield, NJ.
Everything we serve is hecho fresco diario. Mofongo pounded by hand. Sancocho simmered for hours. Mangú mashed to order. We don't believe in shortcuts and we don't believe in skimping — one plate at El Rincón is honestly enough for two.
We serve neighbors from Garfield, Lodi, Passaic, Clifton and across Bergen and Passaic County. We cater quinceañeras, baptisms, office lunches and Sunday family parties. And we still know most of our regulars by name.
